We took a short excursion to Athens where I gave an invited
presentation at a Greek conference on Free Software. It was a lot of
fun, but after a few days of visiting ruins, I was starting to think,
"It's just another pile of rocks!"
Athens is a sprawling place.
Even though it was just May, it was warm enough for us to go to the
beach. The water was apparently not warm enough for most Athenians,
but it was OK for us (though even we didn't stay in too long).
